Hey, I hope everyone is well. Just an update on V&S Elmwood Lanes. A target date to reopen was established last week in a Zoom meeting with all league Presidents: January 1st 2021 due to Covid-19 and our HVAC system. However, I am confident that we will open long before then; I just can't project a date as of yet. I met with a vendor today to see if utilizing temporary HVAC units was a good option for us to reopen Asap, unfortunately we do not have enough power required for... the units to run without blowing circuits. But we may have a solution that we are exploring with the vendor to acquire refurbished units to install at the facility. Hopefully they will have what we need! While we are committed to reopening, the cost of replacing the entire HVAC sytem is enormous! That being said, I am hopeful that once we clean and sanitize the facility and get the HVAC system up and running, you all will help by supporting us. We can't do this without you! For all league bowlers who's center has or will close soon, you have a home at V&S Lanes. I will do whatever I can to help support bowlers and or leagues looking for a new home. Just contact me to discuss. Covid-19 is a serious issue we are facing right now and we will do whatever we can and is necessary in the facilty to provide you with as safe of an environment as we can, but this also requires your assistance in making that happen. As V&S Lanes remains closed like all non life sustaining businesses in our area, Vanessa & I are committed to sustaining the business through this tough time and reopening to you all as soon as we can. We both realize that V&S Lanes isn't just our bowling center; It's Home! As no one knows how long this pandemic will last for us all, we will continue to communicate with various League Officers & bowlers alike on next steps on...ce we resume bowling activities. Here is some education on the sport/game of bowling. I here all the time you guys changed the oil pattern or they ask us did we do anything different. Most cen...ters don’t mess with their oil pattern and Lenawee Recreation is one that we do not mess with out house shot at all. It hasn’t been changed under our newest owner. So here are a few diagrams from a center. The first picture is showing how the lane changes during the seasons and different temperatures basically. The second picture is showing showing two pairs that are right next to each other at the exact time of day. Those lanes aren’t even close to similar so you can see how the topography of each lane changes from pair to pair and from season to season.

Keep repeating this drill for as long as you like. Once you practice this drill a few times you see the results in your game, u will start to feel more balance and leverage. and you will start to like it!
